Every
year women spend billions of dollars on cosmetics and surgeries
to improve their looks in an effort to appear younger and
more attractive. We spend countless hours scrubbing our skin
raw with sea-salts and suffering through barbaric sessions
of hot-waxed hair removal (roots and all) to try to entice
men with our smooth, velvety-soft skin. We perm, color, mousse,
gel, blow dry, straighten, curl, spray and style our hair
within an inch of its life, all for the sake of getting men
to notice us. We go under the knife, putting our lives in
jeopardy, to augment breasts and behinds, or to excise unwanted
fat from our bodies, and for what?—to attract or appeal
to that ever-elusive, unavailable, shallow and non-committing
male animal? Ladies, we have to remember that men are simple
creatures who don’t concern themselves with too many
things not having to do with sex.
